please explain the 4% cheaper in standard of living for these 2 cities, council bluffs Iowa and Omaha Ne?
I currently live in Omaha Nebraska and work in Council Bluffs Iowa, I am thinking about moving to council bluffs because It is closer to work and I make the same wage regardless of city I live in so it seems I would save money by living in Council bluffs vs Omaha, please explain what 4% actually means as far as being cheaper. Does it mean I will save 4%? You've already got the answer. Overall, living in Council Bluffs is cheaper -- mostly because utilities cost less. If you earned $25K in Omaha (and spent it all), and still earned $25K in Council Bluffs, you'd save about $1000 per year. Note that this doesn't count the gas you'd have to buy to go to your $25K job in Omaha, or the value of your time commuting!
