I just found out that I will be without work for the next 6 months. I want to get a new job quickly. Does anyone know any good temp agencies in Omaha Nebraska that hires people quickly? I have a clean background and a good work record.

Look in the Yellow Pages of your local phone book under "Employment Agencies - Temporary Help." There will be several (there are in any city), probably including offices of some of the major names like Apple One, Manpower, etc, in addition to smaller chains and local outfits. Make sure you register with at least 2 - 3 agencies in order to get some work. Temp agencies job listings are w-a-y down and the numbers of applicants and temps seeking work are w-a-y up!

I agree with the other person. Temp jobs are down. When I graduated college, I couldn't find a job so I applied with a temp agency to help me find temp work. I finally found a job, but for a month I called every week to let them know I was available and I never once got a job.

I'm starting an online business (selling domains and other services as a reseller for commission). I have a EIN (Employer Tax ID) and DBA (Doing Business As) license. What else do I need and do I have to worry about taxes or anything relating to that? Also, if I decide to not work on commission, what do I need and what do I have to do tax and legal wise.

I currently live in Omaha Nebraska and work in Council Bluffs Iowa, I am thinking about moving to council bluffs because It is closer to work and I make the same wage regardless of city I live in so it seems I would save money by living in Council bluffs vs Omaha, please explain what 4% actually means as far as being cheaper. Does it mean I will save 4%? You've already got the answer. Overall, living in Council Bluffs is cheaper -- mostly because utilities cost less. If you earned $25K in Omaha (and spent it all), and still earned $25K in Council Bluffs, you'd save about $1000 per year. Note that this doesn't count the gas you'd have to buy to go to your $25K job in Omaha, or the value of your time commuting!

the word best is a value judgment and all instructors are cleared by the state. A sales RE course should cost you about $85 total, books included in price. no best agency to work with..........u need to decide, later, if you want to list homes, list commercial prop, or help people buy........

You are attempting to find the best real estate school and real estate office. This is a value judgment and each might be different. There are on-line courses, courses at local community and 4 year colleges, then there are the class room sit down instruction type classes. You would have to decide which best fit your time and availability to attend a class. The best is one that would get you to and pass your state real estate test. That is the object of attending a real estate school. You might google real estate school followed by the city and state in which you would want to take the test. After successfully passing the real estate exam you would then have to decide which phase of real estate you would like to excel in. There is commercial, residential and being a corporate real estate broker/agent (After many years of experience) Normally most go into the residential real estate either as a buyer agent or listing agent, though you might cross over in certain situations without additional experience or other requirements. Then you would want to select a broker that would allow you to work under his/her direction. You would have to make a decision if you would want to work in a small family type situation or in one of the major national real estate offices. I work from home as a freelance flash developer. I honestly don't see how it's possible that any of those work from home programs are anything but a scam. It is hard enough to make substantial money at home while being a full-time parent with an actual marketable skill.

Yes I do. I am a medical transcriptionist, so basically doctors offices send me copies of patients visits and I type them up in to reports for their files.
